Diamonds Replaces Coffins

Rinaldo Willy, 28, one of two co-founders of Algordanza, which is located at eastern Swiss canton of Graubuenden, offers unique service, turning your departed ones ashes into precious diamond cut, instead of decaying under the ground.

One of the customer , Lilly Hess-Sollberger, turned her grandmother into a half-carat blue diamond pendant.

The procedure was heat the remains with high pressure heat about 1,700 degrees C as it compresses into graphite, a carbon allotrope. The process will cost about 4,500 and 17,000 Swiss francs or $ 16,700.
